North would have no doubt been speaking to former Power and Hawk player Ryan Burton about returning to the Roosters for the 2026 SANFL season.
With his old man leaving as North CEO recently for a gig at Noosa Surf Live Saving, not surprised to see he has signed for Southport Sharks.
Would love to know what, if any, $alary Cap they have up there. Obviously are well backed financially by their brilliant club facilities.

They play in the VFL.
Standalone VFL clubs have a cap of $220k whilst AFL affiliated ones have a cap of $110k
I think Boyd Woodcock is still at Southport

Along with Glenelg have probably lost the most quality. AFL drafting not included.

Great to see former South boys returning to the club, a sure sign the club is heading in the right direction. Any further information on the proposed $30ml (!?) redevelopment of the oval that received media attention earlier his year?

Yep, this is happening.
Disappointing result for Westies to not end up with Lemmey, Burgess or Francis.

Matthew Broadbent returns to South as an assistant coach. Fantastic news.
South have also signed Phillip Moimoi who has recently played for both Sydney and Richmond in the VFL.
Kobe Cochshell returns after a year with Mount Barker looking to add to his tally of one league game.

A disaster for Westies.
Lost about 14 players and have recruited 2 that I know of.
Wooden Spoon number 6 in succession on its way to Milner Road in 2026.
We definitely are not riding the bumps with a grin at Westies anymore……..
