No, that was always the plan.

Would also think a general manager would have had a fairly length handover period written into his contract. Wouldn't think it would be a 2 week resignation period that a pleb like me has. :)

LIenert to Sturt. Probably a bit unlucky not to be on an AFL list still, but AFL clubs seem determined to almost always speculate on kids instead of a few proven mature agers. Always thought he was reasonably good at AFL level. You would think he would have a significant impact at SANFL level.

Completely agree. Why pick a kid with pick 50-60 onward? Realistically not many of them even play a game. Keeping a Lienert on your list gives you more options that a 17yo that you might think is the gold nugget in the draft at pick 50+. It makes zero sense to me.

Nice pickup for the Blues, always rated him. Same with Wilson who (as another posted recently mentioned) is like a recruit if he can get on the park this season. Two high quality additions to an already promising up and coming group.

I thoughts Centrals are a "winning" team....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Sorry I was more talking about that every player on the planet was leaving if Andrew’s didn’t get the sack…… once he got the sack everyone was over the moon

Ironically we’ve never had a bigger exodus

Don't be so negative.
We've retained most of the league side, I'm only really gutted about one player leaving, Aleer,
we've recruited some pretty good key position players, with a few more on the way from what I'm told,
we've lost a few players who can't crack a regular league game with us,
fair enough to leave if they think they can play more league games elsewhere BUT, if you're not getting regular league footy with us, you probably won't do any better elsewhere.
I'd rather be in our shoes than South, West or Norwood!
We will go up the ladder by default!

Certainly wouldn't have a Stirling Phipps-Parsons at Central or Port!

If they were to hyphenate a name every time a single mum got married or had a kid we’d have plenty of hyphenated names.
Some would be hyphenated 6 or 7 times
