Young Jordan Lyons of Echunga having scans today - looking at a knee reconstruction after yesterdays game against Meadows. Not good at 18.

Remember a young Greg Samuels from Echunga did the same thing some years ago, never to return. Not good for anyone.
Echunga v Kersbrook game Match of the Round this week. Both sides undefeated, and despite Kersbrook's higher finishing on the ladder last season, Echunga was the only side Kersrbook couldn't beat. With Brad Lees, Scott Carslake and others in form, complimented with a Ruckman, expect the Brookers to give a good showing.

Re: 2008 Hills Country
Jordan Lyons Looks like he has done the knee and will be out for the season. A very talented Junior and was very highly rated. The Greg Samuels thing is funny he did return and killed in the few games he played the only reason he left is he left with work commitments to QLD's and now overseas. I think Echunga will struggle this week against an inform Kersbrook, heard rumors that another off their key player has left the club for work commitments. Early Tips for this Week...
Nairne B Vs Torrens Valley - TV too Strong 5 Goals
Echunga Vs Kersbrook - Match of the round, but Kerbrook by 10 goals + Echungas Has injurys and players leaving. Plus Kersbrook will want to destory them after last year.
Meadows Vs Kangy - Kangy by 2 Goals
Macclesfield Vs Callington - Callington by 8 Goals

Is the game at Demon Land?? Big advantage to Echunga then. The Brookers have a terrible record there, having only won there twice in the last 12 years! Time to Buck the trend for Kersbrook.

Re: 2008 Hills Country
meadows v echunga game was a cracker of a game!! meadows had big 10 mins of the 3rd to get infront by a goal and then jst let it slip.. and echunga in the end put in a couple of late easy 1s. good battle tho and the injury 2 j lyons didnt look to good unluky for the young bloke.

With Reid from Meadows and Lyons from Echunga going down , injuries could split some of these teams come years end. Only a couple of goals it seems between the top 6 in country makes for some tuff tipping.

Re: 2008 Hills Country
was able to watch Callington on the weekend. very impressed wiht some of the youngsters in their side, if they had an sort of defence they would push some of the better teams, very good midfield. hopefully they can keep some of the group together and develop to make the competition better. unfortunately their juniors are s***house. watch out for young rhys Jordan, would like to see him at a good club.

Rhys Jordan is a born and bred Cally lad. Great to see a local starring at home. It will be interesting to see if Cally can keep him, but it seems their chances are reasonable as he likes the local atmosphere. They need to build around that midfield with young blood, goodness knows where from tho, as I agree that their juniors need a lot of work and an injection of energy.
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.

Who are you tring to kidd you blokes are going to flog Echunga, you have midfield that central teams would be happy with, Also heard that Jarrod Poulton joining brookers next year wanted to come this year but undercontract, are you really getting all these blokes for nothing??? ( I was a believer before but now i am having some serious doubts about your no payments or lack off too much quality for there not be cash changing hands) I heard poulton on $800 currently Iam sure he would take a pay cut but I wouldnt think he would come for zip.

Jarred Poulton to Kersbrook! News to me. Isn't he playing in the Yorke Peninsula League? And if he played locally, wouldn't his connections be with Port Districts? Not sure how good a mate he is with Roger from his Power days (Francou is still signed with us!), and not sure if he knows Carslake. As for our Midfield, the only addition this season is Brett's mate Carslake. Otherwise it's still the same as last season i.e. Brett, Apples, Brads, Chopper. Believe all you want, but KP still isn't a Millionaire, and with No Oval to play on, this season will hurt us financially. I think getting the Oval up is the Club's Number 1 Priority, cos at the moment it's an embarrassment.

Rhys Jordan has talent to burn, imagine if he actually got serious about his footy and wasnt so lazy at times. Awesome left foot kick on him. Sure Redman has worked on him this season ans that why the big improvement.

Doug - does he play cricket as well for Meadows - exceptionally gifted sportsman. So do you know if he's going to give SANFL a go??

Poulton is playing for CMS Crows on YP, where Carslake played last year, and Troy Clements has been their coach this year and last year.
