LJ told a former sponsor of the NAFC that $40,000 was the figure required, someone is lying.

Good get by Sturt. Thought I heard he was training with the eagles and expected him to return to his junior club. I'm assuming a tight salary cap was the biggest issue and we put all our $$ into getting O'brien (which was the correct thing to do). Still, he will be more than handy. Sturt recruiting well this off-season.

With the departures of Michael Coad, Angus Bruggemann, Matthew Duldig, Sam Smith, Lee Staple, Jordan Dawson, Angus Kurtze and James Wundke one would have thought they might have recruited more key position players...

Not sure who is going to kick all their goals?

Heard he left Sturt because he wants to play with his home town Mallala again...

Plus I think he drives trucks for a living and will struggle with the time commitments required...

I can only assume they might play Beard forward a bit more? More than capable with great hands and a decent kick. Leaves Evans, Stephens and now McMahon in defence. But Beard is a State Level defender! Seems a bit like robbing Peter to pay Paul :/

Kicked 5 in a losing final where they lost by 10 goals......played forward for Port in the 2's. I think they are just utilising his versatility....
