I think you're right though, you'd imagine they could find up to $400k easily enough for him.
Still, would you half your salary and keep working where you are?
Going to be interesting that's for sure to see how this plays out.
If it's still more than I could get elsewhere, or was enough to make ends meet without need to relocate, then yep for sure.
Whats the ruling these days on testimonials? Once a player is not on an AFL list can they have fundraisers without any funds raised being held against the cap?
I don't think Nick and his family will starve next year if he isn't playing. He'll be in huge demand by the media.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

$400k worth of demand?
Not sure TBH What do they get paid in the media? Guest speaker roles as well chucked in I'm sure he'll be alright.

I don't think they've got a top 4 list at the moment, they need more midfield grunt and a key at either end and Longer hasn't kept his form from last year. They've got no reason to move on Reiwoldt. Right now, in 2018, I think they'd be worse off without him.
Wonder if he would entertain a Scott Thompson style scenario
Its clear he is still in their best team now but they have a lot of young forwards (including high draft pick Josh Battle) who they would wanna get games into

They could just let him go into the pre season draft and get him for nothing
PSD threat is as empty as they come. No club would go down that route
Not if that is the club he wants to end up with.
It is because the club that shafted another like that would be pretty much cut out of any future trading by the other clubs. We already see some clubs now that don't trade with other clubs

Brisbane will be trying everything to get as many wins as possible and will be in front of North before the final round. They need to work on their current culture and cannot afford to tank. The young players they have look very classy and the more wins they get the better it WebEx for their development
Pick 1 or 2 for Kelly, no real difference
July 11th 2012....
