I love you James Gowans. Love your honesty. Probably not a good idea king hitting a Gowans!

Congratulations Chris Gowans on winning the Jack Oatey medal. I am so jealous right now. I would love to be at the oval watching everything right now.

Dutchy,
I am interested in the reasons for your prediction
Gowans will continue, having a look at the today';s side, not too many players will leave the club, some of our better players still have plenty of years in front of them, Callinan, Hayes, Grima, Obst, O'Sullivan, Lawry, Havelberg.....
lets also remember, this club recruits better than any other, not just fantastic players, but players that play for the jumper and stay at the club for more than a couple of years
we only lost 2 games for the year, and I can't see any other club at the moment in our rear vision mirror
who ever takes our mantle, has a shite load of work to do
Keep writing us off Boys, we will be around for few more years yet

Well done Doggies, too good today
.... and too good throughout the whole season - they finished 5 or so games clear from 2nd
Can't make a good case for Centrals going backwards next year either. The other teams will just have to get better to catch them

Re: 2007 GrandFinal. Roosters V Dogs....
Eagles proved last year you are beatable, other teams are getting closer IMO, you will also not see much of Griffen and Symes next year who have been important...Callinan might get another crack at it (would be a better prospect than Allan), your CHB might not be around next year also...other than that its just a feeling Ive got...

James Gowans looks like he will miss a chunk of 2008. Very ordinary, deliberate round-arm to the face late in the game. What was he thinking?

He was giving as good as he got from what the commentators said.

Re: 2007 GrandFinal. Roosters V Dogs....
last year we had a very poor list
Schell will go on, Gowans have already signed for next year
Agree, Symes and Griffen will play more AFL footy, and Callinan is a chance to be drafted, however every club has these players in this situation
Clubs obviously caught us last year, however, this year, we have streaked ahead again, only two loses for the year, and smashed the second best side in the comp
In the Off season, we will again find a Slattery, Callihan, Lawry or Grima, we recruit better than any other club

Was he king hit when he wasn't looking because that's what would be needed to be giving 'as good as he got'?
