Apparantley it was a young bloke because Graham Cornes wasn't too happy with my "Dig a hole and bury him" quip!

sorry wedgie....not funny. If that was my boy i'd be a little cranky with you to.I know it wasnt cornesies bloke but if it was your bloke how would you feel?

Geez - you would get cranky would you? You obviously never went to any football games in the 70's and 80's!!!

Have to laugh at Glenelg people getting all fired up about Wedgies comment yet just to the right of us on Saturday a group of Bay supporters were making all sorts of comments about Gill and his running style (some were quite funny too) including comments about him having something shoved up his rear end but it didn't envoke any sort of response from myself or any of my mates!

I wonder what Corneys and his "righteous" faction would have thought, said or done had they heard those sorts of comments - but then again it wasn't a Glenelg player was it?

True enough - but I would think if a former North player let's say a Barrie Robran fronted someone from the Snouts in a confrontational way over a similar comment you don't think that would have got a mention on here?

*GASP*

How dare you even suggest Barry would do something like that!

He might if it was a Port supporter though!

P.S. Barrie not Barry - as bad as everyone spelling Jimmy Allan with an e!

I would of used Steven Sims, Kim Klomp or Anthony Antrobus as examples.

Yes but the Bay fans would all say they were dirty confrontational mongrels as players unlike the clean living honest and fair Graham Cornes!

Still, it was only Graham. It wasn't like John Fidge came over with steam coming out his ears.

Sorry, rather than read the whole thread, so where were the Central's supporters at fault in this? ;)
For what it's worth, Gill's running style is pretty funny, a player injury a fair bit less so (unless it's T Grima ...-jokes)

Perhaps, he doesn't remember what it's like having opposition supporters in the outer.

mate i'm talking about an injury and i played footy in the 70's 80's and 90's so i have been around the game a fair bit.If you think its fair game to laugh at a seriously injured player it would have been great to see cornesy pull ya head off.
Its a no-go zone full stop!!!

That's fairly radical thinking JTC.

Notwithstanding that, we'll give it a go .
