... and if it is staged in SA. With the dominant interest being in the Reacher Round it might make better sense to play the state game in Victoria.
No chance.
The reason its here would be so that all the clubs can take a look whilst already being in the state.
Given gather round is round 4 of the AFL its likely to be what round 2/3 of the SANFL so the team picked would be last years better footballers and young up and coming types i would think.

Surely they have to play it at a non gather round venue to reduce the traffic on the playing surface?
They should play it 12 noon at Glenelg Oval on the Saturday. Should get a decent crowd if marketed properly. Would imagine there would be plenty of visitors packing out the Glenelg hotels and those who want to can hop on the tram after the game to get to the double header at Adelaide Oval.
No offence intended, but you have the AFL taking over Adelaide that week, so only the remnants of the SANFL diehards (us idiots) will have any interest above giving a rats.
I'd go if it was inner suburban ground, keep everyone close by .
No way would I be going to Glenelg when I live near town and have a big one planned at AO that day.

Bet he wants to erase his 1975 GF record from the history books.
p.s. who was the Glenelg player who spat the dummy and quit after being dropped to the ressies after spending his entire career in the league side?

The book "Tons of Tigers" is enormous... its like War and Peace , Gone with the Wind and A tale of two cities rolled into one.
I have not purchased the book - its a bit pricey for me, and I have limited interest ,but Im told there are 6 pages on the disaffected gentleman elsewhere in the production.
