Re: AFL Round 13
North deserved the win and they probably won’t get another this year so should be on the cans tonight

Rubbish free kick finished off the eagles. Absolute howler once again.
Good finish by Simpkin though.
A dubious free that cost West Coast the game, shame that
Whoops, there goes another year. Whoops, there goes another pint of beer.

Re: AFL Round 13
The sooner the last touch rule comes into the AFL the better.
At the moment a defender can deliberately ‘fumble’ a ball over the boundary where everyone in the ground know what they were doing.
However if a player kicks it 45m takes two leg breaks, does a flipper and then trickles over the line it’s ’insufficient intent’
I know last touch wouldn’t change the result of those two decisions but at least the rule would be right and clear.

Last touched is paid on a handball/kick - not a fumble.

I know.
What I’m saying is the current rule is ‘insufficient attempt to keep it in’ which isn’t really what they are paying at the moment. When kicks that take double legs breaks, land 20m in play and then spin out are given as ‘insufficient attempt’
It’s kind of a hybrid rule. Just make it last touch on kicks and handballs like the SANFL rather than this grey ‘insufficient attempt’ when there is heaps of times in a game blokes aren’t trying to keep it in.

How come no team announcements have been made for Monday's game yet?

Why can’t players go for the ball? Just call Incorrect disposal and obvious no attempts.
GWS, WC matches determined by Free Kicks and WB wrecked in the first half.
If they’d paid the blatant high tackle to Wardlaw first it wouldn’t have mattered, as it was Yeo did drag it in & to the letter of the law the HTB decision was 100% correct. The irony of a WC supporter whinging about umpiring in Perth is gold.
North the better team for most of the game, tackling & pressure was good.
Deserved win albeit the hard way.
The ball lobbed in his lap, yes he took possession he had no choice, then got tackled no prior I'll bounce it fellas should have been the call.

Gold Coast goal line efforts are heading into Ratuglea territory!
Another umpire decided game coming up? 3/3 today perhaps. *it will be a non htb decision.

On cue there it is.
A disgraceful free kick which goes with an overall sub par performance.
There is no professional league in the world with umpiring this bad.

Re: AFL Round 13
Go back to two umpires. This is bullshit.
There's no more thuggery in the game so no need for two extra field umpires.
I'm certain now that 4 blokes do not interpret the rule exactly the same.
Two exact same game scenarios tonight ( player takes possession and tackled) one holding the ball the other play on.
These decisions a minute apart, different spots on the ground so had to be different umpires.
And again umpires have a major bearing on the result.

Un-mic these clowns and pay some players who have played footy before to hold the whistle.
Another game decided by absolute Bullshit. Play on 100/100 times
