just on the umpires....
we get the same blokes every week at home games and some of the lbw decisions are absolutely woeful. another 4 on the weekend,
one in particular...right arm offspin coming around the wicket to a lefthander. no turn at all just bowling straight ones. batsman given out lbw umpy says it would have hit leg...wtf!! it would have to spin a shit load (with the angle) to hit the stumps surely..but ol trigger,finger up with no hesitation.
i dont like to bag them because umpiring ourselves sucks bit geez know the rules!

Could you imagine if myself, hashtag and lordrocco all joined forces to pick on one paricular forumite?? The mods wouldn't let it happen. Yet three mods have joined forces to have a go at hashtag and nothing happens.

It seems like us forum users need to form some sort of "union", to prevent such harrassment from our "employers".

Go for it mate, the mods don't get paid and aim to and try to keep discussion topic related. Friendly banter is fine, trolling isn't. Hashtags are for twitter, not here, your input is little more than taking the occasional pot shot at someone anyway so it's water off a ducks back, you don't even have the balls to say who you support.

Who I support has just as much relevance as the car I drive (it's a Ferrari by the way). I don't ask you personal questions on a public forum, so I would appreciate the same respect shown to me.

So correct me if I'm wrong, Three Mods having a go at one forumite is "friendly banter", yet three non mods do the same and it's "trolling"?? I respect that you guys don't get paid to do this, but also no one forces you to do it so you must enjoy it. I would just hope that the power muscle doesn't get flexed as often, because this forum is at it's best when there are a few people niggling.

I am not a huge fan of the hashtags but why can't they be on here?? Some of them have actually been quite funny.

You make some very valid points there merki, but I would like to say that as much as I appreciate you voicing your opinions on this matter, I can fight my battles thankyou. You don't get this high in the banking world without brushing aside slight annoyances every now and then.

By the way did you get out to the last Ferrari owner club meet late last year? Might have bumped into you.

On umpiring, I would hasten to add that I'm sure you have all forgotten the stone dead lbw that wrapped you on the back leg halfway up, and the consistently blind umpire gave you not out.

As frustrating as it can be in the moment, cricket tends to even itself out over time. There are always going to be bad decisions, after all these umpires are some way off being international standard, like us as players.
