So wifey and i are looking to build and currently looking at blocks of land. Pricing is fairly reduced when the block has a gradient on it. Obviously there is a cost of excavating to flatten the spot out for the foundation and footings i assume cost more. What kind of cost is it to prepare to build on a sloped block?

Hard to say with out proper engineering....but once you start cutting/filling 600mm and above retaining walls may be required which cost $$$.

It may have turned out differently had the joint Russian/US venture planned under Jimmy Carter to put a massive solar energy station up trailing the moon by 60 degrees gone ahead, but that was scuttled when Ronnie Reagan got the gig in the 1980s and spent money on the "Star Wars" programme instead.

The idea was that energy would be beamed to the moon by microwave laser to facilitate mining, and to collector stations in Earth's deserts for distribution - the countries owning the deserts getting free electricity as rent. (Solar energy is much more efficient outside the atmosphere and when the sun is not obscured by planetary bodies half the time.)

There is hope yet - fusion probably can be made to work using Helium 3 instead of Hydrogen, and the nearest source of He3 is in the soil of the moon where it is absorbed when formed by the action of cosmic radiation on normal Helium.

I have one that is like a sling which protects front and back and also provides protection for the dogs. It just hoops over the front and back headrests.
Not sure of make though.

Any recommendations for getting some tinting on the front side windows of a car? Apparently its too dark and needs to be removed before I can get the approval. North of the city would be useful or if they are any places in the city that would be helpful.
