Kilburn would have been relegated no matter who was coach, even if they had Kevin Sheedy coaching, they would have been smashed in every game. When you have guys that were average in D 10 the year before playing a grade, they had no hope.

Rumour doing the rounds is that Adelaide Lutheran rocked up to the Div 5 Grand Final at Kilburn Oval with their Premiership t-shirts ALREADY PRINTED! I reckon that one bit them on the a55!

agree dogwatcher...takes a t-shirt printer 1 hour to print off enough shirts for a premiership once he has been set up to do it..i dont believe the rumour..where did it start and who was saying it?
Dogwatcher wrote:Just once, I'd actually like to see the t-shirts as evidence when this urban myth is brought up.
I'm sure it has happened in the past, just not as often as people would like to imagine.
we had t-shirts printed before last years div 8 final against edwardstown - kept the box that said premiership unticked so we could cross it if we lost though and the front had nothing about being premiers on it. in other words, we had the same design win or lose and just added the tick or cross. kept the shirts well hidden from the players.
always forgive your enemies...nothing annoys them so much
Dogwatcher wrote:I'm sure if you guys had lost, that rumour would've started about you too....
Hey, I didn't see it myself, but the person who told me saw the bag full of t-shirts themselves. Like most clubs, we submitted our design & then placed the order late in the game.
