Had a look at the side we played against Houghton last time and probably about 4 or 5 players had been playing B grade but were on the cusp.. heaven forbid we play fringe B graders against your A grade side... what a catastrophy!
All year we get ravaged in our C grade by the injuries in our A's and B's often losing our top 5 players a day or so before the game and you sit there and have a cry about us possibly playing some fringe B graders who will probably have 2 weeks off due to finishing top in Div 3 reserves.. very rich.

Actually it was the league who warned clubs not to do it when they have the Kilburn bye and said if it happens they wouldn't be flexible when it came to giving permits come finals time.

Won't need permits if there top 3 sides make finals.

They'll want them if the B's make the granny and the A's don't.

Once you have played two finals in the higher grade you don''t get a permit to come down, I would think there "a" grade would play at least 2 finals.

I don't think it will have any effect on ladder position, but it means your players miss out on another set of votes. That being said, I reckon Bellman will still shit it in.

hey boys, 70 goal thrashing this week, whos keen?
Understandable why they might pick and choose.......if that indeed is the reason..... At the risk of opening up this can of worms again... to forfeit your only side during a season more than once (if at all).........should be season "over"....imo.

I can see where you are coming from but I'm sure the SAAFL would like to keep as many clubs as possible afloat.
