choice. i never drove like that when i was in that age group and had commodores (3 different models) although a couple of them had an issue that the seat would slowly recline itself over time and needed periodic correction. the last one i had didnt do it though so holden may have eventually fixed that.

cant stand laying back that far even as a passenger personally. much prefer to be upright.

Why do retailers give seniors 10% off purchases?

Last 2 times I’ve been into the Good Guys to buy a fridge and now an oven today, I have taken the old man to help me lift items into the trailer.

Both times I negotiated a cash price and their best price and we agreed on it, then they see my old man wandering around near me and ask if he’s with me, then they give an automatic 10% off the price again.
Bonus!

But why do old people get extra discounts?

How stringent are pre employment medical checks?
Got my first ever one tomorrow for casual work at the Convention Centre, Entertainment Centre and Coopers Stadium.

I’ve had a medical to be allowed on a navy ship and even that was basically making sure you had a somewhat full range of movement and no pre existing issues.

My guess is you will have a fair bit of standing and walking so they will just check you are able to do that

LOL

We've been a two man office off and on for 9 years, when we needed someone else I spoke to a guy I worked with in a previous life, he came for the interview, got the job and moved on about 2 years later.

Any who, my boss has a great sense of humor and I said to the guy when he went into the interview to say "Hookers and cocaine" when he got asked "What do you like to do outside of work?". He did.

I heard the roar of laughter from the back of the factory.

Looking for more though, getting bored. Been a great year though.
Had a medical for the Ent Ctr, Coopers and Convention Centre today, also going to a job Expo tomorrow.
I could easily live off my pension if I wanted to but would prefer to have my missus do less hours and also have more OS trips. Plus I love what I do all be it occasionally ATM.
Some people are trying to coax me back into IT but no way.

Possibly, but it's no claim to fame.

The coming week looks like this.

Fri 10th- Melb-Adel-Melb

Sun 12th- Melb- Christchurch

Mon 13th- Christchurch- Auckland

Fri 17th- Auckland- Melb.

Airline food sucks, but the beers in the lounge go ok.

Wouldn’t be me, I don’t actually rack up a heap of miles each year. Go and watch the Bombers and other sporting sides interstate maybe 10-15 times a season and then a couple of OS holidays a year.
Having said that I’ve racked them up in the last few days.
Sunday: Adelaide to Melbourne.
Monday: Melbourne to Brunei to Manila
Tuesday: Manila to Roxas City
Thursday: Kalibo to Manila to Palawan.
Still got flights to Boracay and Manila to come aswell as the trek home via Brunei next Sunday.
Food was amazing on Royal Brunei Business class for both legs and the Lounges all have been top notch (minus to grog in Bandar of course)

Ditto.
I was once offered the chance to test drive a De Tomaso Mangusta an Adelaide car dealer had owned himself and wanted to sell. I would normally have jumped at the chance, but once in the driver's seat declined because I really didn't feel comfortable practically lying on my back to fit under the windshield,,,

Then there was a friend's old Dino Ferrari - I could get into it OK but had to roll out of the driver's seat head and shoulders first as I couldn't get my legs out from under the steering wheel and over the side of the floor well - a bit like some recent Lotus models.
EPIGENETICS - Lamarck was right!
