I would honestly have a team that was structured like

Renshaw
Warner
Khawaja
Smith
Handscombe
Head
Neville (keeping to spin ability gets him over the line)
O'Keefe
Starc
Hazelwood
Lyon

This is the 11 I would go with aswell.

Why the love for Khawaja? Doesnt even make the touring squad for mine. We have to start picking the best players of spin, we know we will get a day 5 wicket on day 1. Khawaja was dropped in Sri Lanka just recently.

Im not sure, but I reckon Smith should bat 3 in the sub continent, I dont know if Renshaw can play spin either, Does Maddison play spin well? I dont follow our Australia A tours to sub continent enough to know who has done well there in the past. IMO shield form should be irrelevant, its the tours in those conditions that should carry more weight.
We have to get the selections right or we will be 2-0 down before we get the right bats in.

I'm with you here. Khawaja was like a sitting duck against the Lankans and don't reckon he has fixed his game enough to counter it. Trav is a pretty good player against spin and as much as it hurts to say, both Marsh lads are competent against spin

Doesn't matter who you pick your going to get flogged. India are a whole new level on Sri Lanka. Good luck getting kohli out he is phenomenal and with a world class spinner your in big trouble as England are finding out.

If you're interested Daisy- Here's the results of the Australia A Indian tour of 2015 where they play two unofficial test matches.

Australian International Summer

Post by Jim05 »

Adelaide to host a D/N Ashes test next year, the only one of the series. December 2-6.
Also been given the Australia Day ODI against the Poms.

Busy summer with 5 tests, 5 ODI's and a 7 game T20 Tri Series involving Australia, England and NZ being played in both Australia and NZ with the final in Auckland

Adelaide will host a Day / Night Ashes Test next December.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

See i'm the opposite, Khawaja one of the first picked for me.
Averages 45 in both test and 1st class cricket. He would even be in my ODI team in front of Bailey and a couple of others.

What happens when Davy Warner smacks a six into that stupid swimming pool they have put in?
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.
