Read a post claiming that Francis has been offered $18000 to take on the job can anyone confirm or deny this. It seems a bit expensive for a SFL club.

Brighton Footy Club
C'Mon guys - this $18000 is unbelievably ridiculous. He would be lucky to get $10K in that job - and there is no way that any SFL club would pay above that figure and if they did bad luck to that footy club.
And from all our mail, he isn't that good to demand anything extraordinary.

Well you are wrong their croc because Flaggstaff Hill paid more than that for Donald Dickie's services ........ i think that figure is close to the mark and you may be surprised how well some coaches are being paid in the Southern League.......but i do agree with you in saying it is an outragous amount especially for someone who may have a high profile but doent carry very big wraps on his coaching ability ..... Stringer,Marshall and Potts wouldn't come cheaply either.

Just out of interest what sort of money do you think would the Hackham, Christies, Morphy Park and Aldinga coaches be on I imagine it would be no more than about $3000 what do you's think.

While figures like $18,000 sound like a lot, lets have a look at whats involved.
Plan pre season and then start pre season training in December, so about 4 to 5 months of pre season 2 to 3 times a week, then the season starts and we are looking at at least 3 times a week. Tues and Thursday nights for 2-3 hours each and then all Sat afternoon and most of the night.
But yes you would then want to get results

Are u suggesting he maybe heading back to the SANFL the Ammo's or retiring all together from football. Was one of my favourite players in the SANFL would be a shame if he didn't continue playing somewhere.

Heard a big rumour that Aaron Biglands and Russell Hart are going to play at Brighton next year, that would be a big coup if they go there a good solid CHB in Biglands and one of the smartest on ballers in Hart, must be a bit of cash around to get them over....
