Just trying to work out how the Draw-No Bet options would work in multis...

If i was to multi Mexico and Uruguay both DrawNoBet @ 4.33

And one is a draw, is the whole multi refunded, do i lose those odds, etc??

Just watching the WC preview. Sounds as if Torres will be ready to go from the start. SPain should go deep in the tournament and score plenty while there at it so have put $10 on Torres for golden boot at $13

Mop Up wrote:I always have to laugh come this time when all the talk is always around England, how they will win, the bookies taken big bets on them and they always fail.

People get sucked into the strength of the Premier League in which many of the top players are non-english, their defence is very suspect and their GK are poor.

The only reason they are at 9s is all the English ex-pats etc throw coin on em...

IMO - England have a very good squad relative to many others. Spain, Brazil and Argentina have better squads than England, but that's all that do.

Rooney - world class. He scores, he creates, he works his butt off when he doesn have the ball. He's the complete player.

Gerrard - proven big game player, who's capable of grabbing the game by the scruff and winning it by himself.

Lampard - highest scoring midfielder season in/season out. One day he'll smash it for England. That day could be Sunday.

Ledley King - Injuries aside, name me a better CB in world football.

Cashley Cole - world class. Pity he's such a wanker.

The other advantage England have this time is the draw. Germany should top group G and England should top their group. That means that realistically, England should have an easy ride through to the last 4 where they will likely face Holland or Brazil. England's squad is better than Hollands squad IMO. They've never beaten Brazil at the WC, but records are made to be broken.

I'm tipping an England v Spain final.

whufc wrote:First Game Up South Africa vs Mexico

Head-to-Head
South Africa 2.88
Draw 3.20
Mexico 2.50
Think the Draw here is a bit of value. Host nations generally do pretty well at World Cups including South Korea and Japan making the semis. South Africa is an average side but first up think they will do enough to hold onto a draw
my prediction= 1-1

Head-to-Head
Uruguay 3.75
Draw 3.20
France 2.10
France were lucky to scrape through the qualifiers while Uruguay were fairly consistent performers in probably the toughest qualification zone. Both teams are near to full strength but France are big stage performers.
my prediction= France 2-0

Head-to-Head
South Korea 2.80
Draw 3.10
Greece 2.62
Hard to split these two sides, South Korea have made a WC semi and Greece who won the European Cup qualified through a tough European Group, both sides play total opposite football. South Korea a quick temp attacking game while Greece through men behind the ball and play a slow tempo defensive game. I think they may cancel each other out.
my prediction= 0-0

Head-to-Head
Argentina 1.50
Draw 4.00
Nigeria 7.00
Hard to go past the Argies but in saying that they have lost early WC Cup games to African nations before. Nigeria will have one of the largest supporter groups at the world cup but that won't be enough to ge them over the line. Should be one of the most entertaining games from the first round
my prediction= Argies 3-1

Not a bad start to my WC betting Campaign :D :D :D

ENG vs USA

England are hot favourites but i think this game will be alot closer than many think. Always alot of pressure on the Poms while the USA are very confident and have a decent side to match.

My Prediction= England 1-0 John Terry from the head at a set piece

Handicap -
England -1.0 2.50
USA +1.0 2.60
Handicap Draw -1.0 3.25

Im on the 1-1 draw with you whufc

GREAT way to start, nearly very unhappy that it wasnt with Centrebet, who give a free bet if you pick the score and it is beaten from the 87th minute onwards, but got better odds and in the end was all good :D

On fire at the minute.

I don't know enough about either Slovenia or Algeria to have a bet on that!

Australia vs Germany
Number of Goals -
0 or 1 3.25
Exactly 2 or 3 $1.91
4 or more 3.20

Like this alot.

germany havent lost a group stage match since 86 apparently

$1.10 looks appealing, and the 1-0 germany correct score looks ok too
