I hope Skipworth enjoys playing second fiddle to young AFL players in a club that finished 2nd bottom last year. Perhaps if they do somehow make the Grand Final he'll enjoy playing in front of a small crowd at a suburban ground. Strange decision. Disappointing for the Eagles.

For what it's worth coming from a North supporter I agree with you 100 percent Aerie and I think it is a dumb decision unless he has been given an absolute guarantee that Essendon will pick him up next year that no-one knows about but it seems there must be more to this decision than meets the eye.

Im sure he would, just read todays paper, its all about putting him in the best position to be drafted next year, Adelaide and Port have both passed on him but 5-6 Victorian clubs are interested.
Dont think it would be "funny"...how many Victorian recruits come here and then go home?
