I'm sure Lehmann started when Taylor was there.

Watson would be one of the six - his first Test was in 2003.
Add Hauritz in as well, he also debuted in 2003.

Edit: Gilchrist played his first Test under Waugh, too.

2nd edit: Katich would not be one of the six, his debut was at the expense of Waugh in the 2001 Ashes series due to injury.

Are you counting Cam White??

- Hauritz
- Cullen
- Casson
- White?
- Krejza
- McGain
- Smith
- Dougherty (on Thurs?)

Yes... He did debut as a spinner from memory- certainly not what he's going to end up being known for...

I wasn't sure when Hauritz debuted, but I threw him in...

My 7 were the same as yours... X will likely make 8.

Cam White will always remember his first test wicket though, the great little man. Good work Media, did you cheat or were they from memory. Another question Brod, should Hoggy be in that list, I seem to remember something from the TV where he was listed as having made debut since Warnie retired and please do not take this as questioning your research. :D :D

Hogg debuted in Oct 1996, when Mark Taylor was captain

Strike Watson out, got confused with Bracken for some reason.

I cheated for Bracken, I'll admit. ;)

I personally wouldnt read a great deal into that stat  S. Waugh had the world in the palm of his hand, a set squad on top of their game dominating the world.

Pontings era has seen the end of the careers of some greats and obviously the trial and error of players to fill the void.

Interesting from that list IMO mostly made up from a) looking for replacement spinners b) searching for a successfull opening partnership to replace Haydon/Langer and c) replacing broken down/injured players.

Did Hodge debut under Ponting? I thought he came in at the expense of an injured Ponting??

Now Media, you not going to tell me they were from memory are you. Have two queries in your list, but this is only from memory. I would query Clarke (when did he debut in Bangalore and make the ton) and Hodge, but I guess we will have to wait for the master to log on.

6 out of 13- Of the 13 highest individual Test scores at Adelaide Oval 6 have been scored since Dec 2003 (and 4 have been scored AGAINST Australia)
31- KP Peitersen - Equal most 4s in an innings at Adelaide (with Pontings 242 v India in 2003)
