To be honest, I don't even know HOW that made it into my collection. I think like Marcia Hines, Neil Diamond and Herb Albert's Tijuana Brass it probably cloned itself at a local flea market and snuck itself in when I wasn't looking.

However, we only had one break in at our house and that was when Mrs DW's car targetted. Her little Nissan Pulsar had about the same amount of change in it and, wait for it...a copied tape of Madonna's Greatest Hits which was also stolen.
A taped copy????? Madonna??? What kind of thieves were these?

The irony DW is that it got broken into at Elizabeth swimming centre.

Have to agree though, the black market value for a taped copy of Madonna's greatest hits....hmm, not much! Maybe the would be thief thought "EXCELLENT, just what I've been looking for!".

I was Hangin' Tough.
I think I was influenced by the fact that a number of girls in 8M who I fancied were into them.
So, therefore, I was into them.
Sad really.

I feel so insignificant now Cennals, girls at my school were so cruel ;)

Zipzap, I've got a funny story with this album (and quite embarrassing too I might add).

I used to have the Bucks Fizz tape in my car, in the centre console, circa 1989/1990. My car got broken into around that time, rear quarter glass smashed and the 'burglars' took about 1.25 in coins and my Bucks Fizz tape.

Still is a laugh amongst my mates to this day that my treasured possession (the $1.25) was stolen. Na, kidding, we still laugh that someone went to the trouble of breaking in, and stealing the Fizz tape.

BTW, my parents have a stack of James Last albums at their place. I wonder why/how and when this was popular?

Unfortunately, I recognise this album cover quite well. It was the first vinyl album I bought with my own coin.

However, it pales into comparison to some of the vinyl I 'inherited' from my parents.. :? In my possession I have possibly the worst album that ever made it to the recording room - "The Young Talent Time Pays Tribute To ABBA"..  Circa around '75/'76, with such luminaries as Karen Knowles and Jamie Redfern. Disgraceful piece of plastic, that one....

LOL, I rarely get sucked in by hype and buy an album on the strength of one great song - but there's an example. Must have listened to it twice perhaps? Put Badly Drawn Boy on that list too....eeewwww

Same here.

Bought it for that Talking Heads rip-off, too.

Only song worth listening to on the whole album...

They were on the same Big Day Out Bill as The Stooges. Talk about going from Champagne to Cordial.

I had plenty of howlers in my collection in the early days of my 'musical life journey'.

When I look back, I should've spotted the trouble when mum bought me Jason Donovan on tape as my first foray into the musical world.

My collection was home to such Australian music greats as Savage Garden & Taxi Ride.

I also had more than one Corrs album. TBH I don't think that had anything to do with their music, they were just smoking hot which is the only judgement criteria for a teenage boy.

Thankfully my musical tastes have evolved considerably since then and I have since purged my collection of these terrible sins!
