However, we only had one break in at our house and that was when Mrs DW's car targetted. Her little Nissan Pulsar had about the same amount of change in it and, wait for it...a copied tape of Madonna's Greatest Hits which was also stolen.
A taped copy????? Madonna??? What kind of thieves were these?

I also had all the NKOTB albums on cassette. The difference being I'm female and they were the equivalent of Justin Bieber back then. DW what were you thinking?

I was Hangin' Tough.
I think I was influenced by the fact that a number of girls in 8M who I fancied were into them.
So, therefore, I was into them.Sad really.
I feel so insignificant now Cennals, girls at my school were so cruel

Zipzap, I've got a funny story with this album (and quite embarrassing too I might add).
I used to have the Bucks Fizz tape in my car, in the centre console, circa 1989/1990. My car got broken into around that time, rear quarter glass smashed and the 'burglars' took about 1.25 in coins and my Bucks Fizz tape.
Still is a laugh amongst my mates to this day that my treasured possession (the $1.25) was stolen. Na, kidding, we still laugh that someone went to the trouble of breaking in, and stealing the Fizz tape.
BTW, my parents have a stack of James Last albums at their place. I wonder why/how and when this was popular?

LOL, I rarely get sucked in by hype and buy an album on the strength of one great song - but there's an example. Must have listened to it twice perhaps? Put Badly Drawn Boy on that list too....eeewwww

When I look back, I should've spotted the trouble when mum bought me Jason Donovan on tape as my first foray into the musical world.
My collection was home to such Australian music greats as Savage Garden & Taxi Ride.
I also had more than one Corrs album. TBH I don't think that had anything to do with their music, they were just smoking hot which is the only judgement criteria for a teenage boy.![]()
Thankfully my musical tastes have evolved considerably since then and I have since purged my collection of these terrible sins!
