Ive been to the Kapunda and Victor Harbor meetings the last 2 weeks
I will put things in perspective, and stand corrected
Whether its a non TAB or a TAB meeting
The clubs get to keep about 10% of the on course turnovers
This 10% is on all races on the day [includes dog and thouroughbred meetings]
The more turnover the more the club makes
The first thing I would do if I was an administarator of the clubs is to put up form for every meeting on the day
It wont cost much, you can download off the computer fields[if allowed] put up newspaper formguides[if they still exisist] or get formguides like the TABs have [if allowed]
To make punters roll up on course with no formguides on display makes as much sense as Kenya winning the 2015 cricket World Cup
The costs of formguides downloaded off the computer is miniMAL
Lets say $20 to photocopy all formguides on the day
At 10% turnover, thats a $200 investment oncourse to recoup the expenses
So Im flabbergasted as to why VH + KAP didnt display anything[unless I couldnt find them]
Gawler dogs meetings , the club shows initiative and puts up formguides
Walk into any TAB and you can find thorough formguides for all meetings
Dunno what incentive people had to roll up yesterday
From Adelaide you would need about $15 petrol for the day
Pay admission to get in, was it about $5 ?
It was a wet day
A lack of healthy food options on course
No formguides
Signs up saying no alcohol to be brought on course
Apart from the course bookies, why roll up ?
ONE LUCKY PUNTER GOT THE DREAM ODDS OF $1-14 COME ON FRANK !
Better off staying home yesterday
Have expansive formguides for all the days meetings at hand on your PC
Have Betfair
Have the choice of 3 TABS and a myriad of Corporate Bookies betting middle totes
Save petrol and admission fees
Eat a healthy meal at home
Drink alcohol which is much cheaper than on course
Watch the SS cricket or the Motor racing between races
Have SKY 1 +2 at home
Clubs need to be better than whats available to the stay at home punters
Back to the original point, FORMGUIDES = TURNOVER

race 4, a womens only event (no drama with that) so far upto 6 completed races and race 7 isnt going to get close, has the highest amount invested into the win pool?????
I wonder how Mal went with doing the form and working out his multi combos
