Explain.
Because the way I see it, something that could and should have stayed relatively "in house" is now front page news, and I see literally zero benefit from that article, other than to paint the umpires as saints.

There are a number of decent umpires locally(PLFL), Take last week for example, The A grade game(LSFC vs MRFC) went through without a drama, umpires where only seen and heard when appropriate/needed. These are the guys we need to be supporting and encouraging.
If you make known to the umpires that they have your support and appreciation, its amazing what it does for their confidence and making the correct decision under pressure. No different to a footballer, a confident player aware of his role is always going to be more positively effective than one that is down on his confidence, scared of having to make a decision.

It has come to the surface with the broken leg sustained by Dale Montgomerie whilst representing Port Lincoln
Waybacks have asked the league to assist meeting some of his lost income, which the league have agreed to look into

When players play any inter-league match for Port Lincoln, Lincoln City or Districts they are covered by the clubs income insurance IF THEY HAVE IT.

Dumbest comment ever. Why on earth would you adjust your game? From what I've heard in regards to GFFL umpires, they have more talent than the PLFL's umpires (Todd George the only exception). Play the game how the game is played, and see what impartial umpires call. Don't change anything, or you're kidding yourselves.
I spoke with an umpire involved and RH chose to approach and spray the central umpires even before the goal umpires had met in the centre of the ground. It was pre meditated and justice was done
Justice was done? So the mandatory sentencing policy that saw Horgan struck with a two game penalty also included a front page character bashing?
