Watched a cracker of a game yesterday and thought that it was one of those games where no side deserved to lose! Kilburn as a club needed that GF and can see them working real hard to keep moving up the divisiona! A heap of work is done behind the scenes at a proud club like that and it is a credit to everyone involved. Maybe its because he is one of my best mates but the work Dale Agius has done at the club in his first year as the pres has been fantastic, I have seen first hand how draining it has been on him but yesterday he was a proud young man! Congrats to all involed at Kilburn!

I though a few umpiring decisions in the last played a big part in it swinging back Kilburn's way, especially the ran to far from the Salisbury bloke at the half back flank after selling some pretty good candy to a Kilburn player, the Ump pinged him pretty quick for the ran to far, thought he hadn't to be honest. Though Matty Whealan played a huge role in the last to win some crucial clearnaces. And the goal Mccallum kicked from the pocket to put Kilburn up by 3 points late in the last was a beauty.

Gotta feel bad for the Salisbury club as a whole, a rough day at the office. Always next year, good luck to both teams who put on a good show today.

Really? Wat about no 23 that ran Bout 5 meters, kicked a goal and got pinged? Footy goes both ways. Kilburn fought hard for everything they got and deserve the rewards!!!

Your talking about the Salisbury 23 who got pinged, I was talking about a Salisbury player who got pinged to, not sure what your point is, unless it is too agree that the umps where pretty trigger happy at times. Kilburn definately deserved it in the end, 3 goals in the last 5-6 minutes was fantastic, Definitely a great day and night as a Kilburn person. But if you read what I wrote it was that I thought the umpiring in the last swung the momentum as Salisbury were well and truly on top 10 minutes into the last 1/4

There were two frees given where the guy supposedly ran too far one for Salisbury and one for Kilburn, cancelled each other out really. I thought that a breif brain fade from number 8 at Salisbury hurt them in the third when Kilburn was awarded a 25 and they kicked a goal against the wind, for a wet day I thought there were some good grabs and clean hands too!

I remember two for Salisbury, may be wrong. Number 10 for Salisbury butchered a kick out in the last 1/4 to where his 15 meter pass bounced before the target and Kilburn locked it in. But it was so tense mistakes were bound to happen on both sides. Doesn't take away from the fact it was a beauty of a game and neither side deserved the loss. On wards to next year now . .

Went and watched this yesterday and witnessed a quality game of footy. Thought salisbury had it won half way through the last qtr but kilburn snatched it with 4 late goals.

Agree with the comments on here, despite the early rain the skills were pretty impressive and could only imagine what we could have witnessed had it been a dry day.

Well done to jamie thomas and his boys, certainly is a quality coach and role model for the club and he has given that club a real confidence boost and belief they can win from any situation.

Whelan was very good in the last qtr and no.20 (dont know his name) was a constant headache for the salisbury defence all day.

Good luck to both sides in D3 next season.

Dunno how many sides have won from the position they were in rd18. Huge congrats to them. I reckon an underdog premiership would be wayyyyy sweeter then an outright favorite one.

Got a lot of respect for Fitzroy and have played them many times, so dont take this the wrong way, but would it be a fair assumption that they will find Div 5 also a fair struggle. Seems the club have hit some tough times

History shows they do well in Div5. Had a horror run with injuries (coupled with the defections to Glenunga) made for a bad year. Heard from a Fitzroy committeeman that some Glenunga boys will be coming back to Fitzroy, not sure if true but he was very confident when telling me.Think they will be very good personally

After the way the X Fitzroy players were treated by their X team mates when they came to watch Glenunga V Blackfriars in the finals, I wouldn't see how any of them would want to go back! You'd think the Fitzroy guys would have been smart enough to realise that repercussion......
