On the whole as a club, West easily.

No team in the finals.

Absolutely bombed out in the A's after sitting pretty.

Game plan that bores the shit out of people.

I think if you looked at the ladder now at the start of the season you'd say Glenelg or Sturt in terms of the number of wins, but the way West started then fell over makes it hard to argue against them.

I say Sturt as they have been a top 5 side for a few years now. West arn't disappointing as they usually either just make the finals or miss out of finals.

West were the most disappointing given their start, improvement in recent times and expectations.
North would be the most disappointed, to get so close so many times shows they weren't playing shocking footy, could really have been challenging for 3rd spot.
Port I don't reckon had any realistic expectations internally about making the finals and just wanted to get as much experience in their young side as they could, hence the Foxtel Cup. In hindsight getting so close to the finals actually making them would have been better than participating in the FC, but participating in the FC was more realistic at the start of the year.

Guess most Westies fans would be disappointed after the start the bloods made. I would also think that despite North finishing one place lower than last year, most North fans would see this season as an improvement after two years of defensive boring crap the Roosters dished up under Healy. New coach, new gameplan and a more attacking style which ended with North being the 2nd highest scorers in the league is something to build on for next year.

If North don't make the finals next year then I can see them leading the same poll in 2012

Agree, but if North don't recruit at the very least a good tall defender that could well miss out again.

I voted for Sturt, based on how far they fell this year.
I would agree that West had the most disappointing second half of the season but based on where I thought they may finish at the start of the season, I would not class it as disappointing as Sturt's.
Cheers
