The course cost is subsidised already, level 1 costs SACA over $150 per participant and $90 is passed on to the participant.
And did you really have a level 3 coach course participant? SACA select these and they are normally SACA coaches as there are only a few spots each year and cost SACA around $5k each.

Have a squad of 15-18, those not selected play community cricket and are able to train with a grade club. The coaches are able to focus better on those in the squad because the squad is reduced.
I know that Jets U16 White team this year was made up largely of kids not good enough to make the U14 squad. Junk cricket, wasting the time of people who should be focussing on elite development.

LOL @ the Woody comment, I'll pass that on!
We'll have to agree to disagree on the whites, we've been there before and will never agree. Good debate though, one the clubs should be having around their board tables.
Your last point is interesting. Community clubs are saying "these grade clubs have given us nothing and done nothing for years. Now they're turning up acting all nice... What do they really want? Where's the catch?" Much ground to be made up between the two groups (just like there is between SACA and Grade Clubs) before the system can work how it should.
