It was the darkest day ever for Port Lincoln football and a real cheapening of the privelage to wear the blue guernsey. Players had 1 chance this year to play for Port Lincoln and the response was pitiful
A total lack of commitment leading up to the game, starting from the top, was matched on the field with an insipid performance, It was embarrasing to wear a blue t-shirt. Continual butchering of the ball and a team that lacked talk, spark and any commitment at the contest. The mentioned 'pace and running them off thier legs' from selectors prior to the game came in handy chasing jumpers all day and we even wore them down and got on top in the last 5 minutes of the game when the flinders boys had put the que in the rack.
The 'youth' were not up to the task and the 'second tier' players went MIA.
I will be calling for a total clean out of all involved in the match and harsh penalties set for those without doctors certificates in the future(2 game suspension). We need strict conditions and strict people running the show to save this ever happening again.
If we were paying $400 per game like some are on at club level, would they have played yesterday?
I welcome any feedback

With two teams again in June, the result means little.

Would have thought that it would be a trial game for the games in June
