Houghton been stiff with injuries, if they win all their remaining home games they're a chance. The rest pretty much speaks for itself, Mawson's have been the team that's impressed me most so far this year closely followed by woody sth. Trinity have made finals every year in this div since i can remember. Lockleys a fast running, skilfull side CLG will improve in the second half and have 6 home games down the stretch. BOS could sneak in if they have a good run with injuries, uni will always be dictated to by injuries in higher grades. Centrals are one i struggled to place, think they could finish as high as 4th but the slow start may cost them in the end.
That's a reasonable ladder and would imagine it will be close to the final placings. Ingle Farm have a large uphill battle to avoid relegation, and also need results to go our way as well. When we beat Houghton, had CU & Uni lost, things would be a lot different.
As for playing away games, I don't actually think it's that big of an issue, especially at div 6 level. It's not like we are playing in front of thousands of fans etc, they only away games that are particularly hard are when you play on a ground that is very different to your home ground.
Are you serious? Home ground's are a huge advantage in amateur footy, everyone knows how to play their own ground more than their opposition.
BOS: No pockets and smaller than most.
CU: Has an eastern wing that goes for kilometre's and the goals aren't adjacent to each other, has massive pockets.
Lockleys: has a slightly different angle and is a pretty distinct ground.
IF: Generally wind.
Trinity & Uni: School grounds and parkland ovals lack atmosphere that would take getting used to.
Woody South: I can't remember what made that unique but I'm sure there's something LOL.
Mawson's: Never played there, I guess the trees wont be providing a wind block anymore.
Houghton: Varies with the climate, quite a country feel to it.
CLG: I've never played there.
There's distinct difference's at all grounds, there's pocket's at Smithfield that you just can't miss goals from and other ones that you'll never nail.
