Did Trinity lodge this?

Did Ingle Farm lodge it against their own player?

Does anybody bother to read anything properly? It clearly says "reported via investigation", that would indicate to me that the amateur league have decided to take control of the matter after investigating the incidents at ingle farm the other week have identified this player as being involved in a reportable offence

Was found not guilty so i guess it was all made up.

Not sure it had anything to do with the umpires being at the hearing or not. The umpires did not report the player because they didn't see anything. So, I'm not sure what would have been achieved by having two umpires turn up and say they didn't see anything.

Umpires did not see the incident and did not report him. I have heard the investigation was triggered by comments on this forum and then followed up by Trinity. :-$

A bit more to it than that. The incident itself on the day was pretty poor and certainly deserved a lengthy suspension as I think people from both Trinity and Ingle Farm would agree. But with a very clever lawyer, no report from the umpire (which is an absolute joke) ,the lack of evidence and important witnesses not attending the tribunal there was simply too much doubt. I think what this shows us is that: 1. Several Umpires need to be stronger in their stance on reporting and 2. The process for investigation needs to be looked at.

All I can say is well done to Ingle Farm who have internally dealt with the matter in a great way and, from what has been reported back to me, were very professional to deal with during the follow up to the incidents at this game.

I should have said 'not asked to attend the tribunal as witnesses'. My bad!

This is a suprise with the tribunial a few years ago i new some one who got done for 3 weeks for alleged rough conduct with very little evidence for the reporting team weeks after the game and and a hand full of witness's for the reported, note he was reported by the opisition club, the umpire did not attend or see the incident as far as i was awear you guilty untill proven innocent, tribunial is a joke even with a huge amount of doubt they wiped him out for the finals

We all know how tight this Div is with teams at the lower end of the ladder often pushing the teams at the higher end and with no easy games that you can confidently pencil in. With 1 team for us all left to play who has been the best team you have played against so far this year? For us it was Woody South at Woody South who had an even team that played well together as a unit.

For me it's been Trinity. Their zone and pressure was really good. Mawson Lakes and Woody Souths are class outfits, what frustrates me is that we should've beaten them both, but that's when their class really showed. Div 6 would have to be harder to pick than a broken nose this year!! Can't wait for the second half of the year good luck to all!!

must win for CLG this week 4-5 is a lot easier to make finals from than 3-6. Plus at 3-6 there is always the dark threat of relegation :( Always a tough trip out there but we got the choccies last year and we've definitely improved since then.

Be interested to see how the BOS v Mawson ends up, plus the CU woody sth game. Ingle farm need a second win desperately or they are staring down the relegation barrel. You'd think uni would beat Houghton at uni but the Raiders did knock them off there last year so who knows.

anyone care to take a stab at the ladder for the end of the year? i'll kick it off

Mawson Lakes
Woody Sth
Trinity
Lockleys
CLG
BOS
UNI
Centrals
Houghton
Ingle Farm

im sorry farmers but with 7 away games out of 10 to come im not sure you'll get enough wins :( Houghton been stiff with injuries, if they win all their remaining home games they're a chance. The rest pretty much speaks for itself, Mawson's have been the team that's impressed me most so far this year closely followed by woody sth. Trinity have made finals every year in this div since i can remember. Lockleys a fast running, skilfull side CLG will improve in the second half and have 6 home games down the stretch. BOS could sneak in if they have a good run with injuries, uni will always be dictated to by injuries in higher grades. Centrals are one i struggled to place, think they could finish as high as 4th but the slow start may cost them in the end.

That's a reasonable ladder and would imagine it will be close to the final placings. Ingle Farm have a large uphill battle to avoid relegation, and also need results to go our way as well. When we beat Houghton, had CU & Uni lost, things would be a lot different.
As for playing away games, I don't actually think it's that big of an issue, especially at div 6 level. It's not like we are playing in front of thousands of fans etc, they only away games that are particularly hard are when you play on a ground that is very different to your home ground.

Are you serious? Home ground's are a huge advantage in amateur footy, everyone knows how to play their own ground more than their opposition.
BOS: No pockets and smaller than most.
CU: Has an eastern wing that goes for kilometre's and the goals aren't adjacent to each other, has massive pockets.
Lockleys: has a slightly different angle and is a pretty distinct ground.
IF: Generally wind.
Trinity & Uni: School grounds and parkland ovals lack atmosphere that would take getting used to.
Woody South: I can't remember what made that unique but I'm sure there's something LOL.
Mawson's: Never played there, I guess the trees wont be providing a wind block anymore.
Houghton: Varies with the climate, quite a country feel to it.
CLG: I've never played there.

There's distinct difference's at all grounds, there's pocket's at Smithfield that you just can't miss goals from and other ones that you'll never nail.
HOGG SHIELD DIVISION V WINNER 2018.
