My home loan is with Commonwealth Bank. Can I approach comm bank to borrow an extra $3500 onto my home loan to pay off said credit card debt with Adelaide Bank?
Has anyone else done something similar?? Good idea??

Absolutely ... possibly a line of credit type loan alongside your mortgage may suit best.
This would definitely be worthwhile as long as you pay it off in a reasonable time.
Adding $3,500 to a mortgage may not seem much but if you take 25 years to pay it off the interest payments will be astronomical, even at the lower mortgage rate.
Talk to your bank and they will be able to provide suitable options.

Cheers for the advice Dedja. Thought it could be done so will touch base with Commonwealth.

That's the plan. Don't use my c card anymore as now have debit card but just bought a house and maxed out c card and am stuck with this debt.
