Are you SA's "leading" football journalist. 1971 and 1972 have hurt him so much that he has had a vendetta against North Adelaide for 40 years.
The saddest thing about it all is that when the Power were performing well in the AFL circa 2004, they had a good relationship with the SANFL clubs. I remember at that time a young Stephen Gilham was playing for North reserves and the plan agreed to by the Power and North was that he was only to play a half. Unfortunately North reserves got a couple of serious injuries and the Power representative at the game, I think Geoff Morris, readily agreed to let Gilham play the full game, which wasn't in Port's best interests at the time, but certainly built goodwill between the clubs.
Given that their are two former Power greats coaching at North you would think that the Power would have a better relationship with North than they currently have.
And North did defeat Central by 41 points so surely the North coaching panel chose a side to win the game and that has to be their aim.
