And what you expect North to come out publicly and tell Port fans why he wasnt selected. Here's a tip i bet you the North board dont give a 5hite about the Port fans and their concerns. Any discussion they would have had on this matter would have been to the Power coaches in private.

we all know he was in their best 21, so stop trying act as if he wasn't. If they had a good enough reason why he wasn't they would of said so, to save them looking like idiots for not picking him.

Dont usually post but FFS
" looking like idiots for not picking him"
Seems like they were pretty much on the money given the result!
Your 1 club agenda is to win premierships for the Power, every other SANFL club's (bar the magpies) agenda is to win the Thomas Seymour Hill Trophy
so take your 1 club and your players and .... off

To be fair there's not much difference between North Adelaide's best 21 and the Power's best 21

Now you know that simply isn't correct.

Interesting in all of this debate is that North laid it's case out on the table to the Port Football Operations Staff re his transfer. The player also stated he didn't want to leave North and that he was happy but that apparently is not part of player development - letting them have some say!

If Port (and the Crows) don't think that playing in the Reserves Comp and at that Standard is good for player development and he only played 1 game yet they moved him because it was in his best interests then what are they going to say or blame when they are only able to field their own stand alone reserves sides in our Reserves Comp as that is the only option that the SANFL Club will even look at and that may not get voted in yet either.

If it does get voted in then Young and all the other non selected AFL players can get their 41 touches week in and week out against fringe SANFL Players and kids and along side fringe types who will be needed as list fillers to field a side. As other have pointed out how will that will that be better than the present system that both AFL Clubs think is broken?

I think I'm mostly enjoying the fact that Power fans are bragging about beating GWS by 56 points when the Northern Bullants beat GWS by 89 points in a shortened version of the game.

Glenelg have proven that you can beat AFL clubs.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Thats seems the sad part of most of this, in most cases the player themselves doesn't want to move but the Power force them.

Whats wrong with the player accepting the SANFL clubs decision to play them in the reserves and work their butts off to prove them wrong and gain a senior berth thru performance?

I would suggest 99.9% of SANFL supporters would agree with 99.9% of what he had to say.

Unlike some other areas of the football landscape this is a debate which should not be a difficult or drawn out one.

He is wrong, they shouldn't be in the VFL, they should be in an AFL reserves comp.

where does everyone think the money will come from for the sanfl to survive if
1- the afl license is handed back
2- the crows and power have nothing to do with the sanfl.
We're on this journey together, One Heart, One Club and they will Never Ever Tear Us Apart.

Doesn't the SANFL get $350,000 for the next 15 years for the licenses and also get some of the revenue from the Adelaide Oval? Also plenty of land to make money from around Footy Park

Beenreal did talk about how great it was that the Power were top of the ladder - after round two.

For starters:

1. the AFL as the nine SANFL clubs are funded in the same way (not to the same extent though) as the TAC cup clubs in Victoria. This money is given to the SANFL and then distributed to the nine clubs.
2. SMA revenue from playing games at Adelaide oval.
3. Returns on the redevelopment of Football Park

Do you think the SANFL has agreed to move from footy park without guaranteed income streams from Adelaide Oval??
