Under the original plan Port needed to get 5k more at Adelaide Oval per game than they need at Footy Pk to break even, its probably even worse now.
Its brought their death forward but it was imminent anyway.
The SMA can do what they want? do you know who the SMA report to? Do you know the government are trying to remodel the current SMA board?
The State Government is now seeking advice from the Crown Solicitor on whether it can remodel the SMA which has no government representative on its eight-man board.
Oh and the power will be around to until at least 2017
The SMA are the governing body of everything to do with Adelaide oval, they report to themselves.
The fact the State Goverment is seeking advice from a Crown Solicitor and not doing anything themselves should tell you how much of a chance of anything changing is, be as much chance as me taking over after talking to a solicitor. The current state government wouldn't give a rats besides trying to pick up some votes with a token effort as they wont be there in 6 months time.
I agree the Power will be around till at least 2017 as the AFL will probably subsidise them for 5 years before they too get sick of it and move their license on.
Port are screwed and the SANFL will get stronger and stronger, its a great deal agreed to by all parties.

And I'll be sitting up in the stand enjoying a nice beer laughing my tits off knowing that my money is going to the SANFL and SACA.
