depends on the car but yeh you can get a good deal. they are usually work on a year or km's, so say 3 years 200,000 and then they go to auction. You can pick some low km's car at good prices. Always serviced and fixed when needed so shouldn't be any problems there.

4 years or 80,000 km for passenger cars, went up from 2 year 40,000 a few years ago, commercial vehicles can be longer

I know fleet cars use to be 3 years as my old man would get a new one every 3 years. never knew they km's as he never reached them. the ones you want are the office people cars as their km's are always low compared to someone on the road.

SA state government fleet cars were 2 years or 40,000 from the time I started servicing/repairing them in 1982 until 1995, they were still the same until 2 or 3 years ago when they upped it to 4 years or 80,000.
Now they try and get low km cars from office pools (where every man and their dog drive them) and move them to high km drivers to clock up some k's before the 4 years are up
Other fleet operators have/had different age & mileage limits, where my old man used to work it was 40.000 or 3 years, he rarely had a car for a year and I can recall him getting a 2nd new XC Falcon after 8 months
