Dont get me wrong I think its great these kids have done so well against the best 16s in the league but if they dont play on Saturday Reynella should be putting in a complaint.

I also heard a maroon coat talking at Aldinga yesterday about an emergency meeting at Marion being held - must have been pretty important agenda if it was taking SFL officials away from the semi finals. Think there could be more going on here than is being revealed or fellow posters are aware of. The word "merge" was also mentioned.

Some of you guys must think college footy is played every Saturday for 52 weeks of the year. School footy finished 3 to 4 weeks ago for many Sacred Heart lads and 2 weeks ago for all. Yesterday's final was always scheduled for Sunday and next weeks Brighton Derby will be played on Saturday as scheduled.

I wonder how this would have played out if Murphy did get reported by the umps. Tribunal sits on the Tuesday after the game, hears that an ambulance was involved, so assumes the victim is going to miss games which influences their verdict and how many games they dish out. With a club report the matter gets heard a week later so I assume Murphy goes up this Tuesday. If the HV evidence that would have been lodged last Monday bangs on about the injury and ambulance requirement yet the player ends up playing the next week and shows no ill effects then the matter should be thrown out or HV should do the honourable thing and withdraw the report. Umpires were on the spot, issued a yellow, end of story. Club reports are designed for cowardly despicable behind the play incidents. If HV weren't aware of that it appears they are going to find out in the next 48 hours.

Just when I thought everyone felt DTH was always full of s--t, someone has taken my advice.

Think you will find not all at HV agreed that the report should have been lodged in first place and A grade coach requested it be withdrawn

Still think it was more than a "marking contest" but time to move on and focus on this weeks game. More important for Jonny to train/ice up/get ready for next round of tagging tomorrow night than spend time at the tribunal giving evidence.

As for C grade matter I hear this was a spectator not a player and he is being dealt with. Hard to believe in this day and age some people can be that stupid.

Haven't you got another Premiership Reunion from the "good old days" to start organising. That's right, next year is 20 years for your last A grade Premiership Team. That will be an interesting reunion for that "loyal" group of blokes. Half a dozen of them can use that day to start planning the 2017 reunion of the Porties 1997 Premiership.

Can anyone confirm whether anything further has happened after the incident in A grade game at CB on Saturday?

Should cove change from the cobras to the green eyed monsters

Maybe Vics01 should be the green eyed monster, he walked out on Cove last year. Season 2013 has seen him at Hackham.

A lot said and clearly more to come. Sorry to invade your forum guys, but what happened, happened and ugly as it might have been, teams are playing this week for a GF spot. Good luck to Morphy Parks and never mind the money bul...it, they are a good side and deserve a crack. Valleys will push but the wineflies seem to be a very tight unit. Best of luck to all. Please move on guys, I don't post often, just read, but it has become a bit personal of late and the season is now at it's premium. :(

Maybe he can come down and chop up the oranges at Morphies. Might be able to throw him a few $$$ before we run out.

The SFL have a duty of care to act!
There have been many case where legal action has been taken and tribunal has still played its role in the correct time and manner.
The SAAFL have had 4 case this year where similar incidents have occurred with 10 week penalties and legal action has followed.

Problem for SFL is they have no right to privilege of any evidence statements given before the tribunal, thus all recordings evidence can be seized by the Police and used in an investigation. An accused has a natural right for silence appearing at the tribunal takes this away.

If a player has done something about all the tribunal can do is have an adjourned hearing and revoke his registration pending the outcome of a result one way or the other..

He is recovering as good as can be expected considering his jaw is banded shut and he will be eating through a straw for the next 5 weeks.
Certainly was a brave and courageous act by that decent bloke!

Reynella obviously got some dough left at the pointy end of the season - apparently they are flying in a star player for Sundays game
