We will not compromise the SANFL competition (with AFL reserves teams)."

G wrote:BPBRP you are a bit harsh on McIntyre. Against Norwood he kept a fairly handy player in Bown to about 6 touches and collected 13 marks himself into the bargain.
I admit that against Port thats as bad as I've seen him play but there was nothing too wrong with his Norwood game.
-ps. This opinion was backed up by the Crows spotter and report from the Norwood game.

His first quarter against Nwd was terrible and the rest of his game was average at best - helped by the fact it was wet and he was able to keep up with his opponent. If you and the Crows "spotter" think he was okay then so be it but lets face it the Crows haven't exactly made smart selections of recent times so it would no suprise to see them give him a game this week!

C Ryswyck (if fit?), Sporn, Bamford
HB Coulter, Schubert, Ivens
B Grose, McIntyre (has to come good eventually), Delvins
Ruck O'Hara, Howard, Allan
Interchange Wakelin, Krieg, Kaesler.
In: Schubert/Delvins/Ryswyk (if fit) and atttidue and mental toughness for all 21!
Out: Perrie/Hart/B. White and the prima donna attitude for a few!
Weatherley needs another run in the two's plus he got reported for absolutely smashing a blokes face in yesterday so he will miss at least one?
Perrie will go back to the Cows
Brett White has broken his hand (bad luck to him again!)
Hart - despite being named in the paper in North's best against Port???, he is past it and we have been winning without him - given that 3 of our losses have been the only 3 games he has played!

We beat Norwood, in a mud pile that didnt do anything for good footy, with two 7 minute bursts that effectively won the game. sure they battled hard in the rain, but only in a way that stopped the Legs, who outscored us in the 2nd half. We should have killed Westies, but instead we gave them a 7 or 8 goal start, and then played blitzkreig footy for around 1 and a 1/2 quarters before taking the foot off the peddle and let them back in, to out score us again.
Jars has to go back to the drawing board, look at who fought for us when we needed them and pick a team that is hungry for North, and not one that is happy to cruise through a game without really putting a sweat in.

Sorry JTC but has to be said ... what a depressing view of our seaon![]()
I think you are having a dig at Benny Hart there (not sure) but, if you are, I was at the game and his commitment was 100% so no need for veiled digs at older players down back. In fact, I couldn't see many 'cruisers' out there either. We got caught napping a bit at the start and before they knew it they were 8 goals down - but give some credit to PAM who played v well from what I saw at the game. Easy to make big statements when you weren't at the game.
When last we played the Rennaisance them, we beat them by 50 points and do you remember what we did at Alberton? We have almost the same % as Sturt and have only lost 4 games all year, 2 of those to Centrals.
Last weekend was 1 game JTC .... a disappointing one .... but still 1 game. Time to regroup and re-focus? Yes. Time to return to the drawing board? No. We won't make minor premier but so long as we finish top 3 and have most of our players fit we will be a better chance when it really matters than last year.
If we have 3 weeks in a row like last weekend then you might be on to something.
