Interesting dilema Mickey agreed. Would we be a little top heavy though if you include Grocke along with the three you mentioned?

Will take a good side to beat them and you (the eagles) are capable of doing it, just scratching my head wondering how a team can go from being "leaps and bounds ahead of the comp" and then 12 hours later "Not in as good as form of late"...

Tassie - there win loss record shows they are leaps and bounds ahead of the comp as per my post yesterday but most centrals fans would tell you although they are continuing their winning ways but it hasn't been done in normal central dominant fashion. That is what I meant.

How true! Two of our last four games have involved wins by 158 points and 108 points. Another was against Port at Alberton where nine times out of ten we lose. Yes, very poor form, Central!!
Having said that, I do expect the Eagles to win this week. This is the time of year that we are preparing ourselves for the finals by training hard and experimenting. We have nothing to gain from this week's match. On the other hand, a win for the Eagles greatly enhances their double-chance aspirations. This is also the time of year that the Eagles normally beat us.
Cheers!

Dogs this year are by far a better side than last year. More settled and less players running around with injuries, unlike last year.
Just because the eagles beat the dogs in a Gf doesnt automatically make them a better team than the dogs this year.
Looking at what the two clubs have gained and lost over the summer to improve their lists , the dogs would be miles ahead.(probably more than 76 points)

Not sure miles ahead, just watched the 2006 GF highlights todaydon't forget the 2005 Jack Oatey Medallist Mcabe retired after the GF humiliation, albeit offset by the recruiting of Callinan.
The dogs would be hungrier but the fear of losing again will bring its own pressure come finals.
