Agree with all on here that should be a really good game and lets hope weather is OK.

It will be a challenge for us as Ron Fuller states in his comments - see coaches comments thread.

Dogs this year are by far a better side than last year. More settled and less players running around with injuries, unlike last year.
Just because the eagles beat the dogs in a Gf doesnt automatically make them a better team than the dogs this year.
Looking at what the two clubs have gained and lost over the summer to improve their lists , the dogs would be miles ahead.(probably more than 76 points)

Not sure miles ahead, just watched the 2006 GF highlights today :D don't forget the 2005 Jack Oatey Medallist Mcabe retired after the GF humiliation, albeit offset by the recruiting of Callinan.
The dogs would be hungrier but the fear of losing again will bring its own pressure come finals.

Something when it comes to GF's the Eagles are more than qualified in. Another sweeping statement!

Umm yeah the Eagles can see what losing finals is like from beating North in finals year after year as well.

Someone wrote Dogs by 5 goals I think either team could win by 5 goals. The eagles have improved in leaps and bounds since Anzac day they just need to perform for 4 quarters. And its not the same old performers getting the job done for the EAGLES some very good juniors playing for the Eagles this year.

Go you Mighty eagles.

 That's a "sweeping" statement. Despite the Eagles having a horrendous run of injuries which accounts for someof the form and the slow build up, you have still a long way to go to get a top 3 spot by the end of the minor round (although I think North's form slump will probably help you :( ) but your not the same side you were last year but again you haven't been anywhere near full strength so the jury is still out at this stage.

I think the Dogs are a much stronger and far more versatile side this year and from what I have seen so far I think that 76 points might be the minimum margin your team will lose by if Centrals decide to turn it on tommorow.

You are right. Except for the last sentence.

I was just trying to even up the arrogance factor on this thread.

Some good kids are coming through at WWT.

Second tier players have also lifted.

Guys like Redden... ect.... have played some good footy. Looks like Scwarze has lifted.... although not in the position he expected to play in....

Beating the Dogs at the moment might be a bit too much.
Bar injuries I think the Eagles will make a huge impact come finals time... (McKenzie + Inkster still to come into the team)

Eagles have a great defense... more than capable of holding the Dogs forwards .... the dogs midfield (especially their scoring ability) will probably be the dif.

Sorry Sturt & North.... this looks like a GF preview

Three horse race in my optinion.

Dogs
Blues
Eagles

Eagles will win this week, but when it comes to the crunch, Dogs will prevail.

I'd actually like to see a 2002 rematch. The best two sides I've seen this year, by a long shot.

And the Eagles killed sturt in their last encounter earlier in the year.
Interesting thought but I would say Port helped the eagles find some form . :D

This game will be a belter. More important than most people think.
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

I would have thought the EAGLES would have paid more .With most non Eagle pundits saying what they have re Centrals winning MARGIN.
Perhaps Sportsbet has taken notice of the type of players the Eagles have chosen for the bench and I don't mean the ruckman  .

Should be a cracker of a game. I like the inclusion of Colville the team really lift with him in the side. I'm certainly going out to Elizabeth this time around a little more confident than last time. Could go either way but by no more than 4 goals I think.

:D GO EAGLES GO GO GO !!!
