Old Nonna was a pretty good horse. Ran 2nd in a Pt Augusta and Pt Lincoln Cup (behind Final Statement). Beat that horse on the Tuesday handicap in TR time, won a heap of country cups along the way. Was as tough as teak...would have given them a start and a beating in this years cup imho.our_longreach wrote:btb, those were the days when you could buy a nag for $500 and work them through the classes....wouldn't have thought sandview or Ross Lyons' horses fit into that category
