You noticed the errors as well huh? Oh well, when you consider how much info was condensed in the publication, it's not surprising there was the odd error.

I find it amusing that plenty of people are happy to lay sh.t on the Advertiser each time they get a comma in the wrong place - and they only have a few hours to review the info before it goes to press - not weeks.

Just a general observation that each time the Advertiser gets something wrong, some people are ready to pounce.
But when there are a few errors in the SA footy media guide, the line used is "oh well, it's understandable considering how much information it contains".
I think it just goes to show it's not that simple to produce anything error-free, whether it be a newspaper, a magazine or a media guide.

1) I don't think this thread is the right place to discuss it.

That's fair enough - in hindsight, I should have created a new thread on this one. Delete it if you like, I won't be offended.Wedgie wrote:2) The Media Guide was made by volunteers with all proceeds going to charity unlike people that get paid for a living to deliver information.
Phil and co would have made every attempt to make sure the guide was error-free, but ultimately the learnt it's virtually impossible. I still think some people should think twice before laying sh.t on the Advertiser journos if they make a minor error. The Media Guide is proof it can happen very easily, despite the best of intentions.
