Good call by the person who mentioned that shop in the airport, I had a browse today, a bit pricey but definately worth a browse to get an idea as to what to buy in SA, I bought my Iced Coffee there today and was tempted to buy the jumbo bag of Fruit Chocs.

Never said that Anyone worried about what goes into a Fritz should definitely stay away from haggis. Tried it twice...once traditional Burn's Night style...plate of boiled haggis, tatties and neeps (potato and swede in case anyone's not sure) quite bland,not the greatest meal on earth. Other occasion was chicken breast stuffed with haggis with a whiskey cream sauce...bloody gorgeous

I think it's a case of being able to visually identify what's on the plate...if I can see it's brains then I won't touch it, if it's minced up into something else and I don't know then fine I know it's silly but I'm pretty sure it not just me

A Bacon and Egg sandwich from the truckstop at Port Wakefield on your way to Ardrossan Bakery for a Cornish Pasty at lunch,and a meal at the Edithburgh Hotel before bunking down in a van on the water at the Edithburgh Caravan Park...

Haha...I'm sure this version is way better but it's bringing back horrific memories of dad's idea of family fun...stuck in a small caravan on a wet and windy camp site by a sandless beach on the Suffolk coast

Yeah, and no need to go all the way down to Edithburg, just stop at Pt Vincent, much better there (Stansbury's OK but everything's spread out), and bugger the bacon and egg roll at the truck stop, the bakery at Wakefield has very very nice pies.

I would expect some among the denizens here may be able to volunteer to take you to a few places that are not easily accessible by public transport. I would but I expect I'll be in the UK about the time you get to Oz, and I'm currently living in Melbourne, 500miles from Adelaide.

JTC you cheeky bugger...I'm a POM not a Jock

Don't worry FC you'd understand me just fine. I might say a few words with a slight accent...afterall I've lived here for 17 years but I grew up without an accent which has meant that I sometimes have a nasty habit of picking up the accent of the person I'm talking to without realising

I think my biggest problem could be word meanings...for example I know that rooting means something completely different over there...here it's the same as barracking...could make for some interesting conversations.
