Must've, the other two were for abusive language.

Surely they would do the striking case before abusive language cases
Doesnt that mean he can play this week and potentially hit another kid?
What a joke

i checked ,,his name isnt in the a gr list to play this week....unless the umpire cannot attend would be the only valid reason hecould play this week anyway

haha
think the story goes he got sent off water bottle in hand and was giving some lip to the umpire on way off the umpire then reported him for the lip service and umpire then kept going on so Jorg's told him to shut up and he wouldnt
so everytime he went to talk Jorgy would spray water in his gob to shut him up

i believe and not 100% sure got 3 or 4 for swearing at the umpire and 5 or 6 for continuing to squirt water!!

Blacks vs Greenacres a draw - bit of discussion yet to go over the scores - apparently some difference between goal umps and time keepers. Not sure what will happen.

Top game of footy though - Blacks led most of the day but couldn't quite put the Acres away.

was a bit crazy for 10 minutes after the siren. blacks goal ump, timekeeper and greenies team mngr had the same score 15.20 to 17.8. greenies goal ump had 15.19 to 17.9 looked like he put a point on the wrong side during the last quarter. all sorted in the end though.

was a great game, shame about the one of the umps though. dont take the whistle and the money if you are not willing to make tough decisions i say.

Thought the umpiring was ordinary - but ordinary and consistent for both sides - they let it go quite a bit but don't reckon it influenced the outcome.

Blacks inability to convert was the most obvious story of the day - if they had made better use of the ball up forward the story would have been quite different - lost count of the number of shots around the corner attempted that mised when a runner at the goal was an option (actually counted 4 times). Blacks are improving and playing good footy towards the right end of the year.

Went and watched the "game of the round" and have to agree the umpiring did nothing to help the game, not sure about who got which scores right or wrong but there was a lot of controversy in both games with the goal umpiring, not sure which team was represented but I believe from where I was standing there were about six incorrect decisions made during the day (three in each grade) only one of which was questioned by the central umps (and changed).

What with the discussion that was on here recently the display I witnessed on sat at blacks ground did nothing to help the club umpire image and makes me feel SAAFL need to get people at these games take some notes and act accordingly

We knocked them out in straight sets in the magoos aswell  Was gold singing the club song in front of the club rooms after aswell...... I honestly think we have done pretty well to be in a position of possibly avoiding relegation atm. With the list we had in the planned at the start of the year to what is on the park at the moment we have been crippled. IF we avoid relegation in my opinion the coaching staff need a medal, because for what they have had to put up with this year on player turnover it would drive most to the ground.

Ive been told a story from some acres people that there was a blatently bias goal umpire decision in the last quarter.. Can anyone put truth to this?

Interesting, but I reckon it happens at each game week in/week out. Theres always questionable decisions at each game. Whether it is blatant cheating or poor judgement is another question.

Exactly right, goal umpires were probably half cut anyway.

Yeah, theres a report from past seasons on the saafl website that had a Central United club goal umpire reported by the league umpire because he was drinking grog whilst goal umpiring. Must admit when I first saw it I had a laugh  Surely you would realise you cant drink whilst you goal umpire.

i'll comment seeing as i was playing in the game. i do belive it was a point which was given a goal but the greenacres goal umpire made some dodgy calls aswell, the only way the problem can be fix is the have neutral goal umpires like they do during the finals

Sensational interview with Arty Bradshaw on ABC grandstand today. Single handedly is the reason why the club has been around for over 100 years. 97 and still going strong.
