Damn those members doing what their constituents want.Who would have thought thats what they are there for![]()
We need more Nick(I want the nuclear waste dumps in my own state ) Minchin types maybe?
Yes the millionaires that live on East Terrace are her constituentswhereas the the working class people in the Northern and Southern suburbs that support her party and enjoy the Clipsal 500 can get stuffed.
Not high brow enough for our "socialist" Jane who happens to be quite wealthy herself, she once had her own private pathology company. I wonder if she and hubby are members of the Adelaide Club?
A local member is supposed to be primarily a representative of the people who live in the electorate, not a cog in a party juggernaut.
If I still lived in Adelaide I'd been saying, "Let those who like the Clipsal 500 hold it where they live." The Grand Prix was a pain when I lived inthe Adelaide Hills and worked near the track. It was so bad I just gave up trying to work that week in the end. I was with Lyn Arnold letting it be stolen by Melbourne - he knew how to do the sensible thing while minimising the flack he got from the party rednecks like any good socialist politician.
