i'm thinkin Rhino wielechowski from my boys, juct consistent performing all year.
if Chenoweth is the on baller i'm thinkin he might poll well but also have votes stolen from the other blokes, and maybe a young bloke from unis who had buckets for hands and changed from FF to rover, went alright.
any other tips anyone?
I'd put my money on Rhino. From what I've heard he's had a top year and Ovies would'nt be half the side they are without him in the middle and Klomp up forward. Also heard that a couple of longtime Ovies boys were dropped for last weeks final in place of a couple Wingfield ring ins who have'nt been seen at the club for 2 months. No wonder the club cant get two sides when players are treated like that.
Well, lets put an end to this arguement... Locky was dropped I believe for knagging injuries(straight from the horses mouth saturday) and hot cold form which a finals team cant risk and Barry Bennett was dropped for the simple fact he verballing abused nearly all his backline team mates vs Phos whilst his player kicked 6 which is totally un-acceptable. He was dropped earlier in the year for the same thing. You'd think a guy with oodles experience would learn.
As dropped players they were both required to turn up to the game and assist in anyway possible. We had no boundary umpire and both refused and walked over the other side of oval and started drinking. Whilst drinking Barry continuosly bagged the umpire(which doesnt help Ovies in anyway) and was heard putting down his own team mates. Locky is also actively trying to recruit players from ovies to Blackfriars for 09 which is a no-no.
Regardless of how long you have been at a club you can be dropped for form and discipline reasons! And as for us not being half the side without Rhino is outrageous. We definately wouldnt find another player like him in this grade but come-on.

Well let me ask you a couple of questions then Bubbula.Would you go out and boundary umpire for a bloke who has'nt even got the character to call those boys into the rooms and tell them why they were being dropped before the team was announced?I'm not surprised a bloke kicked six goals when Baz was trying to man up on other defenders players. And that info did'nt just come from Barry. No wonder he was having a go at the backline.Granted,Baz does'nt always put his point across in the proper way,but to have blokes crying to the coach because they were told to pick up their men.....C'mon.This is footy mate. It's meant to be a tough sport. As far as being dropped for discipline, are you talking about the same kind of discipline your vice captain showed by dissappearing for two months, and then showing up again come finals. Can you honestly tell me that bloke deserves a spot. And as far as nagging injuries go,that argument does'nt carry much weight when one of the guys who came into the side needs a knee operation,is virtually on one leg and pulled out of the side before the game anyway. And he also has'nt been at the club for at lest a month. How can you justify that selection?Locky may well be trying to take some players out to Blackfriars, but how is that any different to Chris bringing a dozen blokes from Wingfield this year, and from Gepps Cross to Wingfield last year.I dont think you're in much of a position to talk about loyalty.Believe it or not,I actually still want Ovies to win the flag this year.A few of my best mates are team mates of yours, but I'd say you're gonna have to replace a few of your better players for next year after this debacle. That's if you all decide to stay at one club for longer than a year.

"A good footballer is about what you do for your mates" What did you guys do for your mates at those 2 clubs besides leave them?
