Gotta say that Steve Bruce has done a great piece of business here with Zaki. The bloke can play and was great on the weekend against Citeh.

Is there anywhere I can find out who the regular penalty takers for each club are. I see Zaki has taken most of Wigan's this year. I guess sometimes the captain may decide to take them himself where other teams may have a designated penalty taker. Thanks

It's a matter of watching as I don;t think you'll find a list as such anywhere. From the top of my head:

Man U - Ronaldo
Liverpool - Stevie G
Arsenal - Adebayor
Chavski - Lumpard
Portsmouth - Defoe
Everton - Yakubu
Newcastle - Owen

After that I'm struggling. For Tottenham (probably Pavlyuchenko now), Villa (Carew?), Sunderland ??, West Ham ??, Fulham ??, Blackburn (Roque Sant Cruz?), Hull, Stoke, WBA (Bednar?), Boro (Alves?), Wigan - Zaki as mentioned, Citeh (Robinho?), Bolton ??.

Not EPL but the Clarets, Graham Alexander. It's the furthest he can run without stopping for a breather, and the furthest he can kick a ball

That's why I had a punt on him for 1st goal last weekend. :D
It's funny, in the program, there was an article on GA titled "the Claret that just keeps on running"
I'll be happy to be in his shape when I'm 36. Actually, I'd be happy to be in his shape now

Fair comment their DA.

Has been pretty good this year, playing just in front of the back four. Coyle has found the right formula to get the best out of GA.

Add 4 goals to boot so far this year. Not a bad return from a defensive sweeper.

Can anyone comment - who knows more about it than me  - about Hull's impressive start to the season including the weekends remarkable away win against Arsenal which broke some longstanding record to do with Arsenal's home matches.

Every preseason preview I read Hull was absolutely pasted and were only predicted to win one and a half games for the year in two previews. Well they've exceeded that already and while there is still a long way to go, they'd have to be the best story of the EPL so far.

They are turning out to be something like Reading a couple of years back. They got promoted and managed to finish in the top half of the table to everyone's surprise.

Just Remember the season has only started and they could still go down.

I don't reckon anyone, Hull fans included, thought they would have started the year this well ... To a lesser extent the same could be said for West Brom and Stoke too.

All I saw of Hull was last seasons Championship decider and they looked defensively sound, although I thought if Windass was going to get regular minutes they would have no hope this year ... Goes to show the $$ the CCL teams earn through promotion is a great help and a great idea IMHO.

Noone wants to see a Premier competition where 3 teams come in and then immediately go back down, year after year ... Hull have been exceptional so far and play a highly entertaining brand of football, hope they can keep it going (except v the mighty Redmen  )

Calm down fella's. Hull will go down this year. It happens quite often, that one of the new boys impress early on. It won't last, they just simply don't have the depth of squad needed. Come December, when the suspensions and injuries start to take their toll Hull will be found wanting.

Don't get me wrong, I have absolutely nothing against Hull, and fair do's to them for making a fist of it, but money talks in the EPL and Hull just won't be able to sustain their impressive start.

I'll stick some stats up in the Stats forum of other sides that have come up, started well and then failed. Bristol City and Carlisle both spring to mind
