Tunnels from some of the pubs in the Port to the Warves, built for moving supplies but also used in the early days for recruiting "volunteer" sailors to the sailing ships after they passed out in the bars.
Some of the buildings in the Port, what is now the ground floor was originally the 1st floor before the Port was built up with land fill to prevent flooding during (very) high tide.
Both of those were told to me by a former publican of the Royal Arms, not sure if they are a myth/legend or fact.
