Don't know about currently, but I did see him in a deli in Parkside almost 20 years ago. Some grumpy old bastard with 4,000 kids in tow buying them ice creams holding me up when I was trying to buy a packet of smokes. He turned around and it was "Aussie Mel" looking frazzled and ready to belt someone/something.

I had a mate that was living out the back of a mansion in Unley for very cheap rent. The little hole he had was a classic place. Possibly servants quarters from decades ago.
Apparently the entire property (very big) was owned by family of Mel Gibson and not often used.

The myth about the 2 old scholars sides who, on a very wet Saturday, went to the pub instead. They agreed the scores best players etc. The umpire was in on it as well (for an afternoon of free beer) I heard about it many times but have never seen proof until it has been put up on the SAAFL website
