In SA, yesterday it was 50 years since the 1956 flooding of the River Murray. Its been over 50 years since the last major earthquake in Adelaide. We have a coronial inquest underway into the Eyre Peninsula Bushfires. The Gawler River and 4th Creek (Waterfall Gully) flooded in November last year. Climate Change is already leading to rising sea levels and if Greenland glaciers melt sea levels will rise up to 9 metres worldwide. Even at known present rates, sea levels are expected to rise 49cm in the next 100 years.

In South Australia there are a number of potentially catastrophic disasters we face.
