All in all a little bit of effort does make the day a bit more special and the hairs stand up on the back of the neck. i think the game was played in that spirit too.

One huge oversight though - by SMOSH and the SAAFL. There were no showers available for either team. Pretty cr@p effort IMO. I would of thought the SAAFL would check out a venue before giving the all clear.
I never want to hear someone from SMOSH bag anyone elses facilities ever again.
no showers..
yesterday..
wtf
thats primary school stuff really..
No, it was at St Micks secondary campus actually...![]()
Seriously, it was sh!t !!! More i think about it, the more sh!t i think it is !!!![]()
Spoilt what should of been a good day,as far as an ANZAC celebration went.
Is it also true Felch that the little old umpire in the A grade is also a teacher at St Michaels College?? Bit of a joke if it is true!!

the footy was great too. two hotly contested matches, the magoos got drenched and due to extremely lousy weather 3 goals were kicked in the first quarter and they were the only goals for the match! The A grade was a fantastic contest with the Pines leading all day until the last 5 mins when we overran them.
You just cannot beat ANZAC day footy!!!

Yeah mate he was a teacher at the school. I think the ethnic bloke was an ex student teacher or something?

I dunno Turbo
Schwids seemed to give some stupid free kicks to you blokes on the weekend
usually he is ok but on the weekend SMOSH seemed to have a little bit more help from the man in orange
not that it changed the outcome, smosh were the better side on the day!

in all honesty in the first half i think some of the umpire in questions decissions were questionable, although we didnt help the sittuation by going on with it, but in the second half i just think he was pretty poor alround, not meaning any disrespect but in those wheather conditions is there a possibility for a man of his age to struggle seeing things clearly with all the rain/mud and so on?

I thought he was just grumpy. Having a name like Reinhardt on ANZAC day can't be easy...
