I saw the agenda for the meeting last night and there is an item relating to a vote to remove a person from the executive. I also looked at the relevant part of the constitution with the reasons that this can be done. One of them is being dead so I am fairly certain it's not that one.

I just managed to read with some interest, David Green's letter to the clubs. Not sure if anyone else has seen it, but in it it indicates that he is the longest serving member on the exec.

Now my mathematics is carp at the best of times, but I reckon Chris Sando the Treasurer is currently the longest serving member, I think Chris (who is also a Life member) has been on it for over 15 years with Greeny being on for about 10, with the next longest serving being Shaun Ryan who has been on about 8 years.

Is it really such a big issue that we can't talk about it? It was mentioned in the Budget, Saturday Advertiser and Sunday Mail over the past few days.

You can talk about it, Im lead to believe it was Greeny that approached the media and what was reported there wasn't completely correct.

What I was trying to stop was the inevitable Shads (and general SAAFL) bashing that would have occured.

But in terms of what you say, yeah you need to be careful, as the information regarding the incident surrounding this trouble is very sensitive, thats all.

The letter from Greeny simply gave his side of the story and went into allegations of the league (or more speficially Shads and Gino) of mis-appropiating SAAFL funds.

The Sunday Mail said the reason was that there was a disagreement regarding a disbaility ramp at Thebarton and a subsuquent phone conversation was deemed unacceptable.

I don't personally believe that's all it is though, as I have heard one side of the argument from someone within SAAFL HQ. Ugly situation I think.

It could get uglier if the outcome is not to the satisfaction of both parties involved

Maybe some of the general "bashing" would be reduced if all clubs had computers and were up to speed on whats happening within SAAFL ;)
